Oh how it's been so long, we're so sorry we've been gone...

Emo Fic Fest is back for 2023 with a couple new changes to our fest format. For starters, the big one that everyone's been waiting for: what songs are eligible for this round?

Round Four's bands are Blink-182, Green Day, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, The Used and Taking Back Sunday.

Claiming opens this coming Monday, June 19 and the writing period will officially begin after the claiming period ends on July 24. The writing period will be a full 9 week period, with fics due on September 26.

Started in Summer 2020 as an emo-themed BTS fic fest, Emo Fic Fest is an AO3-based celebration of the overlap of former emo kids who are now into K-Pop. This fic fest is open to any and all K-Pop RPF writers who are interested in joining.

We return every summer for another season of punk rock writing summer camp, typically kicking off in mid-May/early June. Each round will celebrate a band or a set of bands best known for their role in the alternative scene.
